The Director is the highest authority of the School as well as the governing, management and representation body. His main duties are:
- The official representative of the School.
- To chair the meetings of the Board of the School and order execution of the agreements.
- To set the agenda of the Board.
- To preside over official acts.
- To conduct the academic policy of the School agreed by the Board.
- To comply with and enforce the statutes of the University of Seville.

- Secretary of the Board of the School.
- Preparation and safekeeping of the minute books.
- Certification of deeds and agreements.
- Supervision of the economic management.
- Staff management.
- Official certificates.

Duties:
- Study agreements with other universities.
- Dual-degree agreements (graduate and postgraduate).
- Agreements with companies and administrations.
- ETSI representation in associations of companies.
- Organisation of the day “Engineering and Employment”.
- Responsible for the TIME network.
